Marinating brings out the sensory qualities of food, and the Seasoned range takes that idea to artichokes. We admit it plainly: we cannot stop eating them. This 212 ml jar is the easiest way to try them or to keep a spare in the cupboard.
Glass jar with 190 g net weight and 115 g drained. Ingredients: artichoke halves and quarters, water, canola oil, vinegar, salt, garlic, spices (mustard), acidifier: citric acid and antioxidant: ascorbic acid. Mustard is flagged for anyone who needs to avoid it.
Think of it as a ready-seasoned ingredient: scatter it over salads, tuck it into sandwiches, or add it to eggs and vegetables at the last moment. The oil already holds garlic and spices, so go easy on extra salt.
Per 100 g: 413 kJ (100 kcal), 7 g of fat (0.5 g saturates), 6.0 g of carbohydrates (2.0 g sugars), 2.3 g of dietary fiber, 2.0 g of protein and 1.0 g of salt.
It is a retail format for home kitchens: six jars to a case and 493 cases to a pallet. Choose it when you want a seasoned artichoke jar that is quick to open and small enough to finish before it lingers in the fridge.
These are marinated artichokes in a 212 ml glass jar. The selling unit is the jar, and a case of six weighs 1.94 kg gross. When one jar disappears too quickly, other sizes of the same recipe are sold in the same range.
That makes it a practical pick for lunchboxes and weekday cooking, where a jar of artichokes can stand in for a fresh vegetable with no peeling or boiling.
Open it, drain it and serve it: on toast, next to some cheese or on top of a green salad, the seasoning is already done.
