CYNARA artichokes for children

Cynara Artichokes are ideal for children to eat healthy without knowing they’re eating vegetables.

Artichokes have many properties that help our bodies feel better and their benefits are available to all ages. The heart of the artichoke well boiled can serve infants 7 to 8 months, excluding consumption by the mother during breastfeeding because it can sour the milk.

As an adult task, we recommend educating your children about different flavors and giving them new and surprising dishes to try:

Cynara Artichoke Custard

Ingredients
• 1 bottle of Medium Cynara Artichoke Hearts
• ½ liter of liquid cream
• 3 eggs
• ½ lemon
• Salt
• Olive oil

Preparation
Beat 3 eggs with a little salt, a little oil and the cream. Place the Cynara artichoke hearts cut into wedges at the bottom of ramekins or one large baking bowl. Pour the previous mixture on top and if you want, sprinkle gratin cheese. Bake for 15 minutes at 180ºC. Serve hot to pair with purees or soups.

 Cynara artichoke dumplings

Ingredients
• 1 bottle of Small Cynara Artichoke Hearts
• 3 eggs and 2 yolks
• 2 onions
• ½ kilo of flour
• 100 g of butter
• ½ cup warm milk
• Olive oil
• Salt
• Pepper
• 1 teaspoon of parsley
• 150 g of Mozzarella cheese

Preparation
Cook an egg and put it aside. Mix the flour with the butter, two yolks, milk and salt. Knead on a smooth previously floured surface and let it rest for half an hour.
Meanwhile, mince onions and chop the Cynara artichoke hearts, saute all together. Chop the hard-boiled egg and mix it with the previous drained oil, add two raw eggs, parsley, cheese, salt and pepper.
Roll out the dough not too thin and cut discs about 12 cm in diameter. Put a little of the filling in each one and, using a fork, close each dumpling. Bake at 200ºC for 15 to 20 minutes. You will see how soon they leave the plate empty.
